Thank you for your question Peggy! It's nice to know that people are in fact reading, and want to know more! Sorry about the delay in response, there is another group visiting us now, and that means that my days schedules are very full.
Food here tends to be whatever I feel like preparing, if I am eating on my own, or whatever my roommates and I are in the mood for. Last night, the 3 of us sprang for pizza. The night before, I ate at the Pastor's house (where I can be found quite often, as they invite me for all meals), and tonight, I'm taking our group to CAME, the migrant shelter that serves a hot meal every night, similar to a homeless shelter.
My days vary in schedule: every Wednesday, FDC has a bible study and meeting at Cafe Justo at 8 am, and every Friday, the interns meet at 10 am. Now that there is a group in town, my days are a lot more full, taking the group to the various organizations that we partner with. Today, for example, we started with breakfast at 8, biblical reflections at 9, a visit to the drug rehab facility CRREDA, a 4 hour trip to the desert, a visit to the Migrant Resource center, and dinner at CAME tonight.
Since today is so full, this post is extremely short- But I would love to answer more questions!!! Please, please, please, feel free to comment and ask away.
Peace!!
